First off I should start by saying that our Beagle has escaped so many times from our yard that I've lost count. We've tried everything from leads to wireless fence collars, and nothing helped long term. That is the only reason we decided to spend almost 100 dollars on wire barriers that didn't seem worth the money, but we were out of options. The material itself isn't anything to write home about but seemed sturdy enough, until I used a rubber mallet to install them in the ground... I ruined my mallet from the metal but when one hit a tree root, two bars broke off quite easily (I wasn't hitting it too hard either). 10 is hardly enough to cover a whole side of our yard, but it was all we could afford right now. They're not even a full 24 inches wide, which they are labeled as being. The moral of the story is that IT WORKS. Our Beagle isn't even interested in trying to dig under these, which is a miracle itself! Is the material the best quality? Nope. Is the price fair? Not even close. But does it WORK? YES. IT DOES.Our fence doesn't look super attractive but it keeps our dog in one place, which is a huge relief. Will I buy more? Very likely... I'll just have to save up and buy a little at a time...(and buy a new rubber mallet.)We bought these to keep rabbits from entering our fenced yard. Works great, and very sturdy and easy to install. It has a bonus because the neighbors big dogs have been trying to dig under the fence to get my little dogs and it has so far kept them from getting very far in their quest.Pretty easy, slide it into the ground right? Not if you have ANY rocks. The lil fingers spread, bend and the "weld" (and I do use that term loosely here; as a welder by trade) if you have to get a hammer to encourage it to sink into wet, rock laden ground, the spikes break off then it defeats the purpose...The idea was good... execution here wasn't it.Easy to install but recommend a mallot, not a hammer. A lot of the welds broke but, installed on the outside of the fence, they held up to my large dog.A majority of these began falling apart as I installed them at tge base of my fence line. The welds are weak.Waste of money and time. Fall apart when you put them into the ground. Very disappointed. Would love to get at least a partial refund.
